There are a number of reasons to opt for a food package such as, more time fishing, the reassurance of having good quality food (not your mate’s dodgy cooking) and of course it makes the trip more relaxing – after all it is a holiday.

Etang de Janine is an 18-acre mature lake located in the Loire region of northern France, around a 5-hour drive from Calais. This lake, which accommodates up to 8 anglers, is home to carp weighing up to 72lbs, with an average size exceeding 33lbs. Anglers can book individually or reserve the lake exclusively. Etang de Janine features 14 swims, all accessible by car, and is stocked with approximately 400 carp, comprising both commons and mirrors.

Accommodating up to 12 anglers at a time, Lac Baleine offers ample water coverage for each visitor. The lake is home to approximately 350 carp, including a lake record of 74lbs and over 10 carp exceeding 60lbs. The remaining stock typically ranges between 30lbs and 50lbs. The lake is home to approximately 100 carp, some exceeding 50lbs, with most averaging in the mid to high 30lb range and a solid population of carp over 40lbs.

It offers easy access from all sides, with 10 well-maintained swims thoughtfully placed around the lake. The depth varies from about 13 feet at the dam end to roughly 3.5 feet in the shallower areas. Etang la Saussaie is an 8-acre lake nestled within 15 acres of serene rural woodland in France’s Champagne Region, just a little over a 3-hour drive from Calais. The lake, known for its exceptional carp fishing, holds carp up to a remarkable 74lbs. Available for exclusive hire, the property includes a chalet that comfortably accommodates up to 4 adults and features a 4-person hot tub. This lake has a rich history of producing massive carp, including the world record common carp, which once weighed over 100lbs before it passed away in 2013.
