Hunnyfields Retreat

Located just south of Limoges in south west France, Hunnyfields retreat is the ideal venue for a family holiday with plenty of activities and beautiful countryside to keep everyone entertained. Within the private 20 acre estate there is an outdoor pool with sun loungers, a pine and chestnut tree forest which is great to explore, not to mentioned an exclusive 2 acre private lake with carp to 57lbs nestled into the landscape just a stones throw from the accommodation.

Your hosts Steph and her husband grow fresh fruit and vegetables on site and keep a selection of animals including dogs, chickens and goats. The hosts are extremely welcoming and if you have children they are more then happy to arrange a tour of the farm including petting the animals, allowing children to pick fruit and vegetables and on occasion even cooking up fresh pizza for the guests!

Accommodation

There are 3 accommodations available which are all in close proximity to each other making them ideal for larger groups and maintaining a sociable set up, whilst also offering privacy as well. A maximum of 11 guests can be accommodated.

There are 2 stone gites, Hamlets Farm Retreat and Piglets Porcherie as well as a mobile home for larger groups. Hamlets Farm Retreat sleeps 4 and Piglets Porcherie can sleep 3 people. The mobile home can sleep 4.

When booking Hamlets Farm Retreat, the lake and swimming pool is included for exclusive use. Both Piglets Porcherie and the mobile home can be booked in addition to Hamlets Farm Retreat for larger groups.

The lake was previously a fish farm many years ago but was left untouched. The lake contained a good head original carp, the largest of which is estimated to be around 30lbs. Since 2022 a total of 60 carp have been stocked the bulk of which are over 30lbs and the largest over 50lbs. See the fish stock tab for full details.
