Catch Reports related to Etang Rouge

Great week for Brandon,Lewis & Lucas AKA The Barnsley Boys who all smashed their PB’s and had multiple fish between them, including 1 x 67lb, 1 x 52lb, 4 x 40’s, 9 x 30’s and 1 x 20.

Lower temperature and South westerly winds provided Dave, Jimmer & Paul with better conditions for their week at Etang Rouge. Jimmer started the week with a stunning PB 63lb common and Dave achieved his goal of double figures with a number of 40’s, 30’s and 2 20’s

Despite a cold north easterly wind for the week, Chris & Shaun both managed PB’s during their week with Chris breaking his PB 3 times consecutive fish including 3 50’s with 2 fish at 54lb, 2 forties including a PB common at 48lb and a 33lb mirror for Shaun

Martin was the 2nd single angler on the lake for 2 weeks in a row when he visited Etang Rouge. Great week Andy who unfortunately came on his own as his fishing partner was unable to come due to family reasons. Andy broke his PB 3 times during the week and managed 4 x 40’s to 49lb, 3 x 30’s to 34lb and 2 x 20’s

Sam, Steven & Poddy arrived from Northern Ireland to more hot weather at the start of their week. Thankfully, it cooled down over the course of the week and all 3 anglers did their PB’s with 3 x 40’s to 47lb, 6 x 30’s to 37 & 2 x 20’s

A week we donated to raise money for sick children which was win by Gareth & Luke. Again very hot weather made the fishing very tough, however Gareth still managed to break his PB twice with an upper 30 mirror and then a 61lb common

Paul & Bob had a tough week with rhe heat but still managed fish in the 50’s, 40’s, 30’s and 1 x 20 including a new PB for Bib with a cracking 52lb mirror

Unfortunately the fish kicked off spawning activities on Vince & Dave’s first morning here which put rhe kybosh on their weeks fishing. Despite this the lads managed a few decent carp with a new 45lb PB Mirror for Vinnie and a new 42lb PB Mirror for Dave

With spawning out of the way, the first started to get on the munch again. The lads managed to net fish in the 20’s, 30’s, 40’s and 50’s with Goffy being top rid for the week with a mid 50 Mirror and Stu equalling his PB with a 44lb Mirror

Continued bad weather (for the anglers!) with frosts in the mornings and rainy days didn’t stop Gary & Doug having a good week with a new PB for them both and 3 upper 40’s, 5 30’s and one 26lb common – well done chaps!

Constant heavy rain and strong winds again had a negative effect on the fishing. Gary arrived with a stinking cold and ended the week feeling even worse; despite this, he still managed a few fish in the 30’s which considering how rough he felt wasn’t too bad a resukt

Good week for Jimmy in swim 3 topped off with a PB Mirror of 51lb and 3 big 30’s, all in spite of the well below average temperatures and frosty mornings for most of the week

Very hot for the time of year with pressure 1030 and above resulted in a poor weeks fishing for Dave with a few fish to low 30’s

The unusually very hot weather continues which continued to have an adverse effect on the fishing. Despite this, Roger and Joe still managed some nice carp in the 30’s and a new PB for Roger with a 45lb common all caught at night

The heatwave continues and Stu saves a blank with an upper 20 half way through the week

Dan and Dave returned for their annual trip to Etang Rouge with uour Callum who was on his first French trip. The boys managed carp in the 40’s, 30’s and 20’s including a new upper 20 PB for Callum

The heatwave is finally over and has been replaced with a 15 degree drop in temperature along with constant heavy rain. Tom smashed his previous PB with a 61lb 8oz common and Harry upped his with a 40lb+ mirror

The last week of the season saw continued heavy rain for Jordan and Chris’ visit, however that didn’t stop the lads with Jordan setting and then breaking his new PB twice with a lovely mirror just shy of 46lb and Chris a cracking common of 41lb 8oz

Paul and Bob’s week continued with better weather conditions, including some very heavy rain, thunder and lightning; Paul did his PB twice with a 50lb mirror and later in the week a 58lb common! The chaps landed fish in the upper 50’s, 40’s, 30’s and twenties

With a change in the weather to lower pressures and temperatures, Craig and Frank managed fish in the 60’s, 50’s, 40’s, 30’s and 20’s, including a new PB common of 63lb for Frank and new PB’s for Craig with a 54lb mirror and 46lb common

Another short session on the lake of 48 hours resulted in 4 carp from swim 3, with the biggest being a lump of a mirror tipping the scales at 52lb 8oz and 3 other fish if 38lb, 30lb and 28lb. All on house Lobster Liver Squid boikie and house feed pellet

A short session of only 72 hours with a change in the weather bringing some lower pressure and rain resulted in a new PB for Ian with a brute of a scale perfect common tipping the scales at 62lb from swim 2

Another hot week of weather made for some tough conditions, however Garry and Colin made the most of their week with fish in the 20’s, 30’s and a cracking previously uncaught 51lb mirror for Garry.
