Very nice lake with some amazing wildlife. The fishing was tough. Our group of 5 anglers each with between 30 and 45 years carp angling experience (3 of which are fully qualified angling coaches) could only manage 5 bites between us. 1 was lost on a sunken scaffold pole, 3 were lost in the weed and just one sturgeon landed. The odd fish did show during the week but most were tench and sturgeon. Seems to be very few carp left in the lake and had we known this together with the weed situation before our trip we would have been better prepared. We still had a good weeks camping and even got the float rods out for a bit of roach fishing once or twice.
