The Farm Lake is in the Aube region, about a four-hour drive from Calais with carp to over 70lbs as of May 2022. The lake is about 52 acres, can accommodate up to 16 anglers and it is set into 70 acres of beautiful land. Despite it being a big lake, big hits are common, please see the catch reports.
The lake used to be a quarry where sand and stone was extracted from 1997 to 2010. Whilst excavating, there were large areas of clay found which were left, this has given the lake plenty of features for the fish to explore. There are plenty plateaus, bays and bars that can be located if you are willing to make the effort. Due to the size of this lake, we do recommend that you bring an echo sounder and a leisure battery for our rental boats. The echo sounder is, of course, not necessary, but it will help you fish as accurately as possible.
There are around 750 carp in the lake. The current fish record is a mirror carp of 71lb and a common of 68lbs 8oz. The average weight is over 40lbs. Check out the catch reports.
There are 15 swims on the lake, many of these are double swims. They are simple, but comfortable and perfect for a long day and night fishing. There is an access track to all the swims, and there is also a lodge.
The local village is only 1km away and has all the amenities you’ll need during your stay, including a lovely restaurant, bar, bakery, pharmacy and a small shop. There is also a bigger town 10 minutes down the road if you need a supermarket during your stay.
Winter fishing is available at The Lake Farm at a reduced price.
The lake owners have worked hard to develop boilies that help maintain the carp’s health and help them to grow throughout the season. These are now the recognised food source for the carp, and they really love them! To go with the bottom baits you can also purchase matching pop-ups, wafters as well as hardened hookbaits.

Bait Deals:
30kgs of the bait, this includes 10kg of boilies, 10kg of pellet and 10kg of particles of your choice for 150 euros.
These rules are to protect our carp, the surrounding countryside and the quality of your stay, please respect them.
Max 4 rods per angler.
No sacking or retaining of fish.
Rods must not be left unsupervised at any time.
No Braided mainlines – except for spod and marker rods.
Large mats, nets and slings are essential; mats can be rented from us.
Micro barbed hooks only.
One fixed marker per angler.
All nut based baits are banned.
Take great care when handling our fish.
Particles must be prepared properly at Bailiff’s discretion.
Rowing boats can be rented from us, no rowing boats/baitboats to be brought on site.
All rubbish must be separated and recycled
Any Glass needs to be taken away and recycled.
BBQ’s allowed but please be careful; they must be off the ground.
Arrival time 12.00pm midday, the draw will take place at 1 pm.
You must bring your own lifejackets, while on the water they must be worn
Basically, just use your common sense and have fun.
We do reserve the right to ask any anglers to leave if you are not following these rules. We will also ask any anglers to leave who are disturbing other anglers, harming other anglers, the fish, the grounds or the property. You won’t be issued a refund if this occurs and you may incur extra costs if there are damages.
