Had an amazing week with Paul on the river Vienne, catching truly wild carp to over 34 pounds, These fish are a completely different proposition to those in overfished ponds, in that the river fish were looking immaculate and putting up a tremendous scrap. Paul put in alot of work before we even arrived, in research, and preparing the swim, and took pride in leaving the swim as pristine as we found it. The camp had all the basics we needed to enjoy the week. We got off to a flying start with big fish on the first day. With his laid back, but friendly and knowledgeable style he steered us towards the right approach, since tackling this type of environment was new to us.
The river Vienne was packed with wildlife, and a fantastic venue to spend a week. I only wish we had longer, and I will definitely be back!
