Big welcome back after six years to Roger Hoare and family from Devon for a week’s holiday and of course some carp fishing. Roger broke his PB twice during the week with first a 32lbs mirror and then topped it with a 38 pounder.

Absolutely brilliant to have the terrific value Ross Moughton from Devon back here again for a fortnight, for what we believe, is about the 7th visit he’s made here with his lovely family. This man is a top carp operator.

Quite a week for Steve Chilton and his group from Bolton who started in a heatwave but banked more than 1,000lbs of carp including this treble strike from their pitch on the Moulin Lake island.

Really warm welcome back for a fourth visit to Karl Barrett and his father in-law from Northampton who has enjoyed an excellent week topped by a lovely 41.11 lbs mirror beating his previous best on his last visit to the Moulin Lake by a few ounces.

Great to have Deventer based Dutchman Davy De Lange back here again with his family, plus relations all the way from Canada this time too, and he’s banking some top carp this week. The carp spawned very early this year on 6 May but they are fit and hungry now.

Happy days are here again on the Moulin Lake for everyone including our top lady carpers. A huge well done to Leanne who you can see was clearly chuffed to bits with this lovely 28.10lbs mirror.

All 5 in the group have set new PB’s here this week with carp to over 40lbs – a more than impressive result. Leader Steve reckons the group have landed over 900lbs of carp this week. Well done lads – top week and hope to see you again sometime soon!

One of our former Women’s Lake Record holders back in 2016-17, it was just great to see Joanne Turner return with hubby Andrew this August. Always a competitive carper Joanne managed this 32lbs mirror from their slot on the Moulin Lake island.
