The gite was absolutely fantastic and was everything you could want for a quiet family holiday. We didn’t explore the local area much due to the lads all being lake side but the local shops were only 20 minutes drive away. The hot tub was fantastic and the pool was great on a warm day.
Fishing wise the week got off well for one of us with a 31lbs and 24lbs in the first 48 hours. With another 18lbs coming out on the same peg for his partner. Over the next few days the rest of the wake woke up with 12 carp total, a pike and a huge roach coming out. Carp 35lbs to 14lbs. It isn’t a runs water by any means but the fruits of the labour are well worth it.
John and lel were genuinely the best hosts I’ve ever experienced on a holiday. Helpful with the fishing, local area and we’re genuinely amazing hosts. I can’t vouch for them both enough and you can see the time and effort they’ve put in have resulted in a lovely venue with some absolutely cracking fish in their lake. Would recommend to anyone and have no doubt we will be back again in the future!
