Jack’s lake is located north of Reims just 2 and a half hours drive from Calais. The lake is 4 acres in size and can be fished by 3 anglers with carp to over 50lbs.
The lake dates back to the 1960s and is surrounded by mature trees and shrubs that line the lakes banks and an abundance of nature. It was acquired by the current lake owners in 2018 and opened for fishing holidays in 2022.
The majority of the fish in Jack’s lake are the original stock. These old fish include dark mirrors and beautifully scaled common carp. The lake has not been netted so the exact fish stock is not known. It is estimated that there are approximately 80 carp in the lake. The largest fish caught as of 2023 by non other than Jim Shelly is a 57lbs common. The average weight 34lbs.
There are 4 swims which are spread around the lake to ensure that each angler has ample water coverage. There are plenty of features to fish to, including snags, shelves, overhangs and deep margins. The deep margins make this lake excellent for day time stalking.
The lake is for experienced carp anglers only, who appreciate nature and pristine old carp.
