Lake owner response – the small carp were as a result of losing some of the pike and other predator species in the extreme heat. These predators usually eat the carp fry. The lake is being netted in the winter and the small carp removed.

Great lake, lovely accomadation and facilities just a shame about the small fish no-one wanted to fish the night as pestered with small fish!! – between 4x anglers we only had 6 fish between 21lb & 28Lb nothing bigger but lots smaller(between 1 & 4lb) We would go back if the smaal fish problem was solved.
