The Hill House lake is an incredibly special venue, offering luxury accommodation and a state of the art hot tub set just a few metres back from the waters edge of a stunning 6 acre lake with carp to over 50lbs. The lake opens for the very first time in 2023.
Set in ancient woodland, the Hill House lake is located in north east France just 3 and half hours drive from Calais in the town of St.Dizier, which is 20 minutes from the historic town of Vitry Le Francois.
The owners do not live on site so you will have complete peace and tranquillity for the duration of your stay.
The house which is just 6 metres from the lake has undergone a full refurbishment and is very luxurious. Many of its original features have been retained such as its grand fireplace and timber beams. There are 3 bedrooms and can comfortably accommodate six. Full details of the accommodation is in the ‘facilities’ tab. The hot tub is directly outside the house set back just a few meters from the waters edge. Use of the hot tub is an additional £150 per week.
The lake which is believed to be around 400 years old is 6 acres and has 2 islands. There are around 120 carp to 53lbs. There are 2 double swims and 3 single swims. Depths range between 1 and 2 metres. The bottom is mainly clay and there are lots of gullies.
Bookings are Saturday to Saturday
Arrival no earlier than 2pm and departure by 10am.
Boilies, pellets and maize can be pre-ordered from the lake owner which is delivered to the house prior to your arrival.

- Minimum 60cm of rig tubing
- Fish from the designated swims only
- No fires around the lake
- No swimming
- Keep swims and lake free of litter
- Use the recycle bins provided which are by the house
- A 20 Euro deposit is required which will be returned if there is no rubbish or human waste in the swims
- No excessive alcohol
- Anti social behaviour will not be tolerated and you may be asked to leave without refund
