What can I say about HIDE AWAY, after a wonderful 7 days of the hospitality from Steve and his family I can honestly say it was worth every penny.
The food was amazing and left you feeling more than full and the pods on the lakeside were perfect, they were spotlessly clean and had mains power which is always welcome.
The fishing was slow to start but after picking Steve’s brain and a slight change to the rigs we were off the mark with my dad landing a lovely common to 20ilb.
This was then followed my myself having a common of 28ilb and a few lost runs. The fishing isn’t easy to say the least but it defiantly pushes you to focus on the fishing.
All in all between us we landed 9 fish to 33ilb and of those I managed to bag 2 of them off the top from the margins while stalking. I have been told I am only the second to achieve this since Steve has had the lake.
We will defiantly be booking again and hopefully get one of the many bigger chunks on the bank.
I strongly recommend anyone to book this wonderful lake as it won’t disappoint. Oh and if stars are you thing then the night sky is out of this world (no pun intended).
