Me and a friend got down to Etang furet on the 25th of July, it was our second visit to the lakes together in 7 years, what an incredible week we had! We booked the lodge swim which had a self contained lodge, the lodge was perfect 2 separate bedrooms, cooking facilities, fridge (important in the heat we had) freezer, it had everything we needed, was a luxury to not be in a bivvy for a week, now the fishing was superb, we landed 81 carp and lost a handful, its fair to say we didn’t get a great deal of sleep! We had 2x 50lb carp, around 10/12 40lb+ fish, a lot of 30lb fish! The house pellet, freshly cooked hemp/buckwheat/maize was spot on the fish were loving it that much the mat and weigh sling was full of hemp! I think we will find it hard to beat a week like that, looking forward to going again in 2027! Thanks for having us 🙂
