Etang Furet
Etang Furet is a 25 acre lake in Central France, set in beautiful surroundings of woodland and farmland, with carp to 70lbs and an average size of over 30lbs. It is just over 5 hours drive from Calais ferry port.
The lake which can be fished by a maximum of 7 anglers has 2 luxury chalets, “the Lodge” and “the Loft”, both set back just a few metres from the water which can be fished from. The chalets are situated on the same bank quite close to each other making them ideal for socials.
Both the lodge and the loft come with their own private double swim commanding a large area of water. Each can accommodate 4 adults and have 2 bedrooms and 2 single beds, as well as a lounge, kitchen area.
On the opposite bank to the chalets are are 3 drive and survive swims. Swim 9 is a single swim and swims 10/11 is a double swim.

The lake has been run by the current owner, a French fish farmer since 2015. Etang Furet has an impressive stock of big carp giving you every chance of breaking your personal best.
As of 2023 there are approximately 350 carp present. The largest is over 70lbs, with a very good head of 40lb plus fish.
The lake bed is a mixture of sand, gravel and silt.

From mid November to mid March the booking price is reduced, however the sanitary facilities are closed during the winter months.
Arrival no earlier than 2pm and departure by 11am the following Saturday
A fee if 5 Euros is charged upon arrival for the removal of the rubbish from the bins
A 50 Euro cleaning fee is payable on arrival for customers staying in the chalet and a 200 Euro refundable breakages deposit
A selection of bait is available to purchased on site which includes:
Boilies which are made for the lake owner
Extra hard hook bait boilies
Maize, wheat, hemp, tiger nuts
pellets
Delicious fresh bread, pastries, kebabs and pizzas can be delivered to the lake.
A daily food package which includes breakfast, lunch an dinner is also available. You will need to order your food package at least 1 week before your arrival.
- A Euro 5 rubbish tax is payable on arrival
- Bait boats are allowed
- Rowing boats are not allowed
- Do not swim in the lake
- Fish safe rigs only, no fixed leads
- Micro barbed hooks only
- Mono mainline only, no braided mainline
- Leadcore leaders are not allowed
- Rig tubing must be used
- 3 rods per anger
- Each angler must have an adequate size landing net, at least 40 inches, a weigh sling and large carp mat
- All fish to be unhooked, weighed in the water and photographed in the water
- Use carp care kit on hookholds
- Anti social behaviour will not be tolerated
- Do not leave rubbish in your swim
- Be respectful of other anglers
- Dogs are allowed if they are well behaved
- No open fires
- Bbqs are permitted as long as they are off the ground
- the lake is under video surveillance
- Failure to comply with the rules may result in you having to leave the lake early without a refund
