On arrival at Janine we was welcomed by David who showed us around, gave us some maize and boilies with our unhooking mats. We scouted the lake and decided to fish on the same bank so we could have a social and exploit most of the water, it was hard in the start as the weed seemed to be everywhere, but once we got into our fishing we realised the weed was in beds and clear spots were easily found. Once we realised how the fishing was, the runs started coming, my bait boat died early on and I thought my week was toast! Dave let me use his and it saved the week. Food was to die for, sadly we lost a few fish, some just unstoppable, maybe a big cat or a furious carp?? We ended up with 30 fish between four with a mid 50 mirror to my Dad, this was the biggest, sport was great, lake is beautiful, will certainly be going back!!
