Etang de Janine is a mature 18 acre lake which can be fished by up to 8 anglers with carp to a huge 72lbs and an average size of over 33lbs. The lake can be booked per angler or as a lake exclusive. Located in the Loir region of northern France, Etang de Janine is approximately 5 hours drive from Calais.
There are 14 swims all of which can be accessed by car. For per angler bookings a draw for swims will take place.
There are approximately 400 carp in the lake which are a mixture of commons and mirrors. The current average size carp is over 30lbs with the largest residents pushing over 70lbs. There is a very good head of 40lb plus carp.
The lake depth ranges between 8 feet down to around 13 feet. Rowing boats are available to locate spots and to bait up.
Bookings run from Saturday to Saturday
There are 3 places available to 10th August 2024 – for this date there will not be a draw as the top half of the lake is booked. The bottom have of the lake can be booked for £800.
The lake owner runs his own bait company and bait is available to be purchased on site.
Boilies, hemp, pellets, maize and tiger nuts are available.
A food package which consists of an English breakfast and dinner is available.

- Use a carp care kit to treat hookholds and fish damage

- Boats and bait boats are permitted
- BBQs are permitted proving they are off the ground
- Rowing boats can be used to retrieve snagged fish
- Life jackets to be worn at all times when using the boat
- Swims must be kept clean and tidy
- Use the toilets not the pushes
- Nuts are permitted providing they are correctly prepared
- Alcohol is permitted in moderation
- Keep the carp out of the water for as little time as possible
- Leadcore is permitted if used carefully. The lead clip and rig must be able to pass over the knot
