Our weeks fishing was the 6th-13th September. The trip was for 4 of us and we split into pairs to cover the lake.
Jack was looking after us for tge week and he couldn’t have been more helpful regarding how best to fish the lake. He gave us useful information on the make up of the lake bed and known feeding spots.
The fishing does require a lot of thought and effort. Boat work is also essential to help land fish and fish effectively.
This lake clearly holds an immense stock of large carp and we could constantly hear them boshing at night.
We all caught and was lucky to have some large ones aswell.
I think we ended with a total of 16 carp upto the heaviest being 59.8lb. This also included an awesome looking 48lb common and another of 42lb.
To add to this, the food package is brilliant. Everything was lovely and delivered to your swim at breakfast time and evening evening time. That homemade curry was so nice.
