A difficult weeks fishing, some fish were still spawning when I arrived, which didn’t help! Managed two carp and one tench, carp were 30lb 13 and 14lb. Lost 3 fish as well. All bites bar the tench were evening or overnight (due to mostly 28-30 degrees all week). Most fish seemed to be active between swims 3 and 4, there were loads in the shallows right by the trees opposite swim 4, but despite dropping rigs, couldn’t get them to start feeding. Did see some really nice fish in the water, so there’s quite a few in there! Really nice location, very peaceful and the Coypu was an unexpected bonus! Accommodation was nice too, two tackle shops in Laval if any emergency bits needed.
