Bois de Printemps

Bois de Printemps is 6 acres in size with 2 Islands in the centre, tree lined with access all round. It is spring fed with an average depth of 6ft and the deeper areas of the lake dropping down to 12ft. There are 4 swims around the lake each with well over an acre of water coverage.

The lake is set in 16 acres of private woodland and includes a 2 bed gite which can sleep up to 6 adults which is set back just 30 yards from the lake. There is also a swimming pool, children’s play area, BBQ and fire pit.

Located in northwest France between Paris and Brittany it is only 5 hours drive from Calais, 3 hours from Caen ferry port and an hour and a half from St Malo.

The lake holds approximately 300 carp to 60lbs with an average size mid to high 30lbs. There is good head of 40lb+ carp with over 25 different 40s landed in 2023 and well as several over 50lbs. It is available for exclusive bookings only with a maximum of 4 anglers. The exclusive booking includes a 2 bedroom gite which is only 30 yards from the lake.

The lake was purchased by the current owners in 2019 and it opened for the first time in 2021. The lake had not been run as a fishery for 15 years prior, but held an impressive stock of original carp. The lake has not been netted due to its irregular shape, however it is estimated that there were between 100 to 120 original carp to over 50lbs. The existing stock has been supplemented by an additional 150 carp of weights between 22lbs and 30lbs. These carp have been hand picked and include some stunning scaly mirrors.

Well behaved dogs are allowed but have to be on a lead at all times.
