Blue Dart Fishery is located in south west France within the Perigord Limousin national park and just a short drive from the city of Limoges. You will have exclusive use of the 4 acre lake as well as accommodation which can sleep up to 4 people and hot tub which is just a stone’s throw from the lake. There is an all inclusive ‘fly and fish’ package with airport collection and full tackle hire if you do not wish to drive and take the ferry.

The are 4 swims, there a double and a single close to the accommodation and 2 single swims on the opposite. It’s a really good set up to allow plenty of interaction for anglers and non anglers given the accommodation is so close to the lake.
The current lake record is 53lbs with an average size of over 30lbs and a very good head of 40lb plus fish. Blue Dart is not a runs water, but it is also not a hard water and anglers who put the effort in will be rewarded.
The depths range from around 9 feet at the dam end of the lake to just over 3 feet at the shallow end of the lake with an average depth of around 5 feet. The lake bed is a mixture of silt, sand and gravel. Spending time locating feeding spots will of course pay dividends. There is a small island as well as many overhanging trees and shrubs where the carp regularly patrol.
Nets, mats and slings are provided free of charge so there is no need to bring your own. For an additional 200 Euros a fly and fish package is available which includes tackle hire for 3 anglers, collection and drop off at Limoges airport as well as 2 trips to the supermarket.

Local amenities and attractions
Local amenities are close by with the nearest supermarket only a 3 minute drive, there are also 2 pharmacies close by as well as two very restaurants in the local villages. There is a communal lake a short drive away which has pedalos, diving platforms, water slides and crazy golf which is open during the summer months.
Bookings are Saturday to Saturday
Nets, mats and slings are provided free of charge.
A full 3 rod set up can be hired which includes:

Buzzer bars
Only bait provided by Blue Dart Fishery is permitted. The lake owners provide their own boilies, pellets and particle mixes.
A bait package is available at a very reasonable price. Please enquire for details.
- Maximum 3 rods per angler
- Never leave rods unattended
- Minimum 15lb line or 8Kg (0.40 diameter)
- 360 rigs are prohibited
- No zig rigs
- No braided mainline
- Barbless hooks only
- Minimum size 6 hooks
- Fish safe rigs only with leads able to come free in the even of a break
- Rig inspections may be carried out
- All landing nets, mats and slings to be provided by the fishery. Do not use your own
- Carp care kit to be used on hookholds and wounds
- Only bait provided by the fishery is permitted
- Nuts are prohibited
- No Goo liquids of any kind to be used
- No artificial baits (ie plastics etc)
- If using the boat a life jacket is to be worn at all times
- Bait boats are permitted
- All grass carp to be photographed in the water
- All carp over 30lbs to be weighed and photographed in the water. Chest waders will be supplied to fly and fish customers
- Use the toilets provided
- 100 Euro breakages deposit will be required upon arrival
- Arrival no earlier than 1pm and departure by 10am the following Saturday. For fly and fish customers this may vary depending on flight times.
- Anyone found breaking the rules may be asked to leave without a refund being given
