Willow Pool is a peaceful 5-acre carp lake located in northern France, approximately 2½ hours from Calais, making it a convenient and easily accessible destination for travelling anglers. Set in quiet countryside, the lake provides a relaxed and intimate setting that is ideal for small groups looking to enjoy a social week of carp fishing.
The venue is booked on a lake-exclusive basis for up to five anglers, with five well-prepared swims positioned around the water. Each swim has been gravelled to provide comfortable and stable fishing areas while still maintaining the natural character of the lake.
Willow Pool holds carp to around 55lb, with plenty of fish in the 30lb and 40lb bracket, giving anglers a genuine chance of quality captures throughout the week. The lake bed consists of a mixture of gravel, clay and silt areas, with gentle margins and clear spots that reward anglers who spend time exploring their swim.
The manageable size of the water, combined with a healthy stock of carp and easy swim access, makes Willow Pool suitable for both experienced anglers and those looking for their first French carp fishing trip. The lake is also close to the town of Soissons, where you’ll find supermarkets, restaurants and other local amenities for anything you may need during your stay.
