New for the 2025 season – Wellington Lakes is a peaceful fishing retreat, owned and managed by Matt and Magalie. Situated in the heart of Côtes-d’Armor, this idyllic location offers a tranquil escape amidst the stunning French countryside, just a 45-minute drive from the breathtaking coastline. Alongside the superb fishing opportunities, the venue boasts a charming gîte for two, complete with modern amenities, as well as a well-kept shower block, toilet facilities, a bar, and a games room.
Guests will have exclusive access to two lakes, home to an impressive stock of carp weighing up to 46 lbs, accommodating up to four anglers.
Covering two acres, the main lake features four fishing swims, including a spacious double swim, ensuring a comfortable angling experience. All swims are comfortably designed to comfortably accommodate a bivvy.
The lake is rich in features, with gravel beds and two islands providing a variety of fishing opportunities. Depths range from 3.5 to 7.5 feet, and the lake is stocked with around 120 carp, including 60 specimens exceeding 30 lbs, which are continually growing.
The smaller lake, spanning just under an acre, features a range of natural elements, including lily pads that offer excellent fish cover. With depths reaching up to 3.5 feet, this lake is ideal for anglers seeking an enjoyable, light-tackle fishing experience.
The fish stock in this lake includes mirror and common carp weighing up to 25 lbs, along with a variety of other species such as rudd, tench, roach, bream, perch, zander, and pike. This lake provides a more relaxed fishing session while still delivering the excitement of catching a diverse range of fish.
Bookings run from Saturday to Saturday
A range of bait is available to be purchased on-site.

Choice of full English breakfast roll available served either at your swim or in the dining area.
Continental breakfast includes a selection of cereals, fresh bread, and croissants, accompanied by tea, coffee, and juice.

All meals are served with sides and a drink of your choice.
- A carp care kit must be used for every catch and will be provided by the venue.
- Please do not bring cradles, nets, landing mats, or slings, as these will also be supplied by the venue.
- A maximum of three rods per angler is allowed.
- Standing while holding fish for photographs is not permitted.
- Retaining fish is strictly prohibited.
- Rods must never be left unattended.
- Fishing is only permitted from designated swims.
- A minimum main line strength of 15 lbs is required.
- Braided line is only permitted for spod or marker rods.
- Only barbless hooks are allowed.
- Nuts of any kind are not permitted as bait.
- Bait boats are allowed.
- Please ensure no litter is left in the swims or anywhere around the site.
- Pellets and particle mixes may only be used if purchased on-site.
- The use of drugs, excessive alcohol consumption, loud noise, or music is strictly prohibited.
- Dogs are not allowed on the premises.
- Vehicles must be parked in the designated car park.
- Drop-off systems must be used at all times.
- Float or pole fishing is only permitted in Upper Wellington Lake (the smaller lake).
- Restroom facilities provided must be used at all times; please do not use areas around the lake.
