Three Islands Lake: 23-08-2025 to 30-08-2025

Hi, we were all really looking forward to the trip and was very disappointed on arrival seeing that the water levels were severely low, saying that we bit the bullet and cracked on, temperature was very high so didn’t help with the fishing and a bellied up decomposing fish floating around probably didn’t help either, I have told the lake owner we didn’t see the bailiff all week and that there was no light in the shower and only 1 plug socket working in the hut. Saying that we had a very enjoyable week with Lee “The Chef” cooking some cracking food and the boys joining myself with a few beers along the way. We left a day early so we didn’t have to rush the old fella that was fishing with us, as you can see in the pictures he was asleep the majority of the time 🤣🤣, on reflection lovely looking lake, needs a much needed big fridge as the little box there is a struggle, good job we took one and had it running off a power bank “Thanks Tom” perhaps a little tidy up and a million gallons of water and potentially she will be back to her best, as of catch reports we had the same sturgeon twice at 36lb, a couple of bream, a few poisson chats and 11 carp, biggest was the 23lb common in the picture the rest were 8,10,10,12,13,14,14,16,16,16 so not the greatest I’m afraid. The hut is a great place to fish from at swim 1 which made a very hard week bareable. All the best Phil and lads! Oh and 1 bloke blanked “Sam” 🤣🤣🍺🎣
