We had a fantastic week at Oak View! A terrific lake and superb accommodation provided everything we needed for a really enjoyable stay. Thanks to Izzy and Harry who were excellent hosts helping with advice about the lake and also the surrounding area. We took the food package which was very good as well.
Between the two of us we caught 21 fish in total. 6 commons to 36lbs, 12 mirrors to 39lbs and 3 grass carp to 26lbs. We had a fast start, a lull in the middle of the week before it picked up again at he end. We fished both days and nights with over half the fish caught during the late evening to early morning period. Tactics included a combination of bottom baits and pop-up rigs consistently fished to a handfull of regularly baited spots in open water and the margins.
