We had a very enjoyable and productive carping trip to New Mill Fishery.
Maria and David were the most wonderful hosts cooking full English breakfast and dinner every day, bringing this to our swims of in the Farmhouse as we requested. It was always delicious, well cooked and with ample portions! They even dropped us off and collected us from the local bar when we had a sneaky lunchtime drink 🙂
We stayed in the farmhouse which has all you need with 2 comfortable bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms and a nice lounge/diner with open fire and large screen TV to relax in.
We caught 24 carp between the 3 of us including 3 x 30’s with most of the rest in the 20’s. The star catches of the week were 2 sturgeon to 36 lb which gave a great fight and something we’ve never caught before.
Dave is a true carp fisherman himself and gave fantastic advice on tactics and productive area to fish.
We’ve been taking a week’s fishing break for many years now and this ranks as one of the best. Would highly recommend
