New Venue for 2025: New Mill Lake
Introducing New Mill Lake, a private 7.5-acre lake in northwest France, featuring carp up to 50lbs. Situated conveniently close to the ferry ports at Caen and Le Havre, this venue is easily reachable for visitors.
The venue includes a beautifully restored two-bedroom, two-bathroom farmhouse just 25 metres from the lake, comfortably accommodating up to four adults. Click the facilities tab for full description of accommodation and photos.
The lake itself is picturesque, providing an ideal fishing setting for up to four anglers. Enclosed by mature trees and shrubs, the lake has lily pads appearing in warmer months, creating a serene landscape. The lakebed is firm with a light covering of silt, and depths range from shallow margins to 13 feet.
There are four large, comfortable swims, plus one stalking swim. Each of the four main swims is equipped with a cabin, spacious enough to fish from while accommodating a bedchair. Swims 1 and 2 also allow room for a bivvy, leaving the choice to you.
The lake holds approximately 160 carp, ranging from 20lbs to 50lbs, with a healthy number of fish over 30lbs and 40lbs.
Bookings for this venue are available with or without the farmhouse:
- Exclusive lake use with farmhouse for up to 4: £1,600 per week.
The farmhouse can accommodate up to 6 with 2 additional single beds in the master bedroom which is ideal for children. The price for 5 is £1700 and for 6 it is £1800.
- Exclusive lake use without farmhouse: £1,200 per week
Bookings run from Saturday to Saturday.

Landing nets, slings, and cradles are available free of charge. We also offer a full range of tackle for hire if you prefer to travel light.
House and branded bait is available to purchased, along with prepared maize and particle mix.
Choose between two meal packages: breakfast only, or breakfast and evening meal.
- Maximum of 3 rods per angler; no unattended rods
- No braided line, carp sacking, or standing up while holding carp
- High-quality carp cradles, 42” landing nets, and weigh slings provided free of charge
- Bring a carp care kit with antiseptic treatment for use at all times
- Minimum 15lb mono mainline, no bent hooks, micro-barb hooks only
- No leadcore; rig tubing required
- Ronnie and spinner rigs allowed if you have wire cutters with you
- No nuts allowed; only on-site prepared particles are permitted
- Bring your own bait (quality branded bait only)
- No plastic bait
- Bait boats allowed
- No excessive drinking while fishing
- No open fires; please dispose of litter responsibly and use correct recycling bins
- No dogs allowed, unless by prior arrangement
- No swimming
- After unloading, park in the designated car park
- Use the toilet facilities provided
- Respect the site, wildlife, and fellow guests, remaining courteous to other anglers
