Lake Ruby France is a 19-acre, weed-free, crystal-clear gravel pit. Situated in the Champagne region, it is just a 3 hour and 20-minute drive from Calais. With a continuously growing fish stock, the lake boasts over 300 carp to over 60lbs.
On-site amenities include mains electricity for charging, an anglers’ bait freezer, toilets, and high quality hot showers.
The lake can be fished by up to 12 anglers. There 4 large double swims and 5 single swims, all finished with gravel. Each swim is strategically positioned to ensure every angler has ample water space in front of them, with a metal weigh post concreted in at each spot.
The lake is weed free with depths ranging from 10 to 4 feet. The lake bed is mainly sand and gravel with a few silty areas.
The carp have been hand picked and are a mixture of mirrors and commons. As of May 2024 the average size is mid to high 30s. Due to the feeding programme the lake owner has implemented the fish are packing on weight each season.
The swim draw takes place on Saturday at 13:00 (French time).
