Lac Du Cygne: 04-10-2025 to 11-10-2025

Turned up as Storm Amy was blowing a hooley! Made setting up camp challenging. Nevertheless, we could see that it is a lovely venue and we slowly got to grips with where and how to fish. Ended up catching 12lb Common, 14lb Common, 15lb Mirror, 23lb Common, 26lb Mirror, 28lb Mirror and a 41lb Mirror. All on 20mm Boilies and a pink one pop up resting on the soft bottom. The lake is very shallow but don’t let that put you off, just find the spots in and around the far bank pads. Crayfish are a nuisance and we ended up recasting at night to ensure we had baits intact. Caught loads of lovely silver fish on maggots and I doubt any of those fish have been caught before. Many thanks to Steve for letting us fish after a nasty arm accident for me earlier in the year. The 41lb was too heavy to lift with my weak arm, ended up nestling in my lap 😂
