Lac du Blaireau booking and update.
Last year was the first year i hadn’t raked the margins in the winter in the decade I’ve had the lake. It took sammi, Paul and myself to do it and some bits were almost not fishable. I was pleased to find virtually no lead core but did find multiple lots of really thin (8lbs) line. We put out 500kg of liquid siltex in front of the long bank fishing swims.
We have introduced cheap fishing next november where you can fish or do a bit of work and get refunded. This should get it tip top and open up for a two ton chalking at the end of the season.
We spent 10 grand last year on bank improvement and the bit infront of number 2 is bulging and will need to be redone with a digger and under pinned with a steel frame. We also plan on putting in a pergola in the main swim this winter. This will act as a shelter from sun and rain and a high power solar will go on the roof. A new panel will also go on the shed to up the power there also.
In the next 2 weeks we have a dozen new twenty plus carp going in from Lakdar our usual supplier.
I am sure you know by now that I brought out a new book this year (Break from the old routine) This features Badger lake very prominently.
