Lac Du Blaireau—or “Badger Lake”—is a charming, mature 5‑acre private carp fishery nestled in historic northern France, just a scenic 2 to 2.5 hour drive from Calais. The lake is surrounded by mature trees and can accommodate up to four anglers.
There are around 120 carp to over 60lbs. Around 50 of the stock are originals which are very ‘English’ looking and average around 40lbs.
There are seven swims spread across all 4 sides of the lake (there is a swim map in the image gallery). Swim 1 and 2 are large social swims and can easily take 3 large bivvies. In swim 3 there is a bivvy pod which is free to use. Most swims have stagings so a rod pod is recommended.
Depth ranges from 4–9 ft in spring, reducing about 2 ft into autumn. The topography includes —plateaus, shallow bars, hard spots and silt pockets so there are plenty of features to fish to.
