La Loubiere
La Loubiere is a 37 acre lake in central France with an incredible stock of huge carp up to 74lbs and an average size of over 35lbs. The lake is approximately 6 hours drive from Calais and can be fished by up to 12 anglers. New for the 2024 season are 2 lodges behind swims 2 and 3 which can be fished with receivers.
The current stock is around 650 carp with the lake record being a huge mirror of 74lb 4oz. The average size is 35lb. There are 6 carp over 60lb, over 20 carp over 50lb and over 50 carp over 40lb. To keep weeds at bay, there are 60 grass carp between 15 and 55 pounds.
When the carp are on the bait, the action can be quite prolific with some weeks producing over 100 carp.
There are showers, washbasins and toilets on site, as well as fridges, freezers and electrical sockets for recharging phones and bait boats.
The lake is fed by the River Loubiere, which provides an important supply of oxygen. There is a good quantity of natural elements in the lake, such as blood and freshwater mussels, which has created an optimal environment for the growth of very large carp. The bottom of the lake is mainly silt and sand. Rowing boats, motors, batteries and sonar are available for hire to help you locate likely feeding areas.
The swims
Surrounded by mature trees and set in acres and acres of countryside, La Loubiere has 6 swims, 5 of which are double swims and swim 4 is a single swim. All the baths are accessible by car. However, if the weather is wet, it may not be possible to access swim 6 by car, please enquire.
Swims 1, 2 and 3 are accessible by car. For swims 4 and 5 you can go to the station to unload, but once you’ve finished you’ll have to leave your vehicle in the car park behind stations 2 and 3.
There are two lodges behind swims 2 and 3 that can be fished with receivers. Both are double swims. Each lodge has 2 bedrooms, a lounge and a kitchen. There is no running water or electricity in the lodges.

Winter prices:
From mid-November to 1 March, the booking price is reduced by 50% compared with the high season price. The sanitary facilities are closed during this period.
Bookings are taken from Saturday to Saturday.
Arrival at 2pm and departure by 10am the following Saturday.
A fee of €5 per person will be charged on arrival for the removal of rubbish from the bins.
A cleaning charge of €30 is payable on arrival for guests staying in the chalet, together with a refundable security deposit of €200. A supplement of €10 per dog will be charged if you rent the accommodation.
Rowing boats can be hired for €70 per week.
An electric motor and battery for the boat cost 70 euros.
An echo-sounder costs €35.
Additional rod (with the owner’s agreement) €10 per day per rod.
A selection of bait is available to purchased on site which includes:
- Boilies which are made for the lake owner
- Extra hard hook bait boilies
- Maize, wheat, hemp, tiger nuts
- pellets
When more than 3 anglers are on the lake, the owners of the lake can have fresh bread, pastries, kebabs and pizzas delivered to the lake.
If there are 6 or more anglers who request the food package then the lake owners will deliver breakfast and dinner to the lake.
-A waste tax of €5 per person is payable on arrival. It must be left at the reception point of each lake, where there is a collection point indicated by the owner. Recycling is compulsory.
-A cleaning, disinfection and bed linen charge of €50 is compulsory. To be paid on arrival for rentals with accommodation only.
-A dog tax of €10 is payable on arrival for rentals with accommodation only.
-Some fishing spots are not accessible by vehicle all year round, so please check before you come. Once you have unloaded your vehicle, it will remain in the lake car park.
-Bait boats are permitted.
-Personal rowing boats are not permitted. You can only use those on the lake by renting them. Please reserve them in advance.
-Swimming in the lake is prohibited.
Only fish-friendly rigs are permitted; fixed lines are forbidden.
Use only micro-barb hooks.
-Mono main line is compulsory; braided main line is not permitted.
-Lead leaders are not permitted.
-Tubes must always be used.
-A maximum of 3 rods per angler. (additional rods €10/rod/day with the owner’s agreement).
-Each angler must have a landing net of at least 40 inches, a weighing strap and a large carp mat. Weighing cradles are not permitted.
-All fish must be unhooked, weighed and photographed in the water. It is forbidden to take fish out of the water.
-Apply carp care kit to hooks.
Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated. The abuse of alcohol and the consumption of narcotics is prohibited.
-Do not leave rubbish in your bath.
-Be considerate of other anglers.
-Well behaved dogs are allowed.
-Open fires are prohibited.
-Barbecues are permitted if they are raised off the ground.
-The lake is under video surveillance.
-Failure to comply with these rules may result in early dismissal from the lake without refund.
-For rented accommodation a deposit will be required on arrival in cash or by pay pal. Please plan ahead before your arrival.
-In the event of early departure on your part no refund will be made.
-ARRIVALS ARE ONLY FROM 14:00, in case of delay please inform us.
