Jimmy’s lake is 4 acre lakes with carp to over 60lbs, located close to Limoges in South West France. The lake offers exclusive bookings and can be fished by up to 3 anglers.
Situated amongst acres of beautiful countryside and surrounded by lots of wildlife, this stunning tree lined lake has 3 swims, one is a double and the other 2 are singles. Each swim has ample water to fish to and can easily accommodate a large bivvy, or 2 in the case of the double swim. It is highly recommended you watch the video – click on the video tab.
There’s no shortage of large carp and as of 2021 the lake holds 6 carp over 50lbs, 2 of which are over 60lbs. There’s at least 12 carp over 40lbs and 20 over 30lbs.
The lake bed is a mixture of clay and silt with depths down to around 12 feet in the deepest areas. The lake is surrounded by overhanging trees and bushes which provide plenty of natural cover and holding areas for the carp.
Within a couple of minutes walk of the lake is a toilet and shower block. There is also a kitchen area for preparing food as well as charging points or boats and phones.
The lake is just over 5 hours drive from St Malo ferry port, 6 and a half from Calais and 30 minutes from Limoges airport.
If you wish to fly a 3 rod set up and bivvy is available to hire for the week as well as airport collection.
Bookings are Saturday to Saturday. Arrival no earlier than noon and departure between 8am and 10am.

Chub 1 man bivvy, bedchair and chair – £75 per week
Package 2
3 Sonic SK4 Carp rods 12ft- 3lb, Wychwood Big Pit Reel (65). Delkim EV Plus bite alarm set (3) – £100 per week.
Mats, weigh slings and landing nets are provided free of charge
Boilies and particles are available to purchased on site.
Food package which consists of a cooked breakfast and 2 course evening meal are available for £180 per person.

- Big pit style reels with a minimum spool capacity of 220 metres
- Minimum 15lb line
- Micro barb or barbless hooks only
- Rig tubing of at least 24 inches
- Children under 14 must be with an adult at all times
- Maximum of 3 rods per angler
- Braided mainline is prohibited
- No leadcore
- No fires
- No swimming
- Frozen boilies only
- Only particles bought on site are permitted
- Ensure fish are kept out of the water for the minimum time possible
