Dixon family review
We’ve just got back from spending an amazing week at Hideaway Lake and we’ve had absolutely fantastic time, really didn’t want to leave. From the moment we got there, we fell in love with the place. It’s beautiful and so peaceful, a real hidden gem! Elaine and Steve are one of the most kind and helpful people we’ve ever met, superb hosts. Their son’s Jake and Harry are such a credit to them. They always made sure we were comfortable, always checked if we need anything, they were so polite and helpful and even help entertain the kids now and then lol and not forgetting the head bailiff Dylan (their dog)who’s great at locating the fish lol. The lake is stunning and you can see Steve, Elaine and the boys have worked hard to turn it into what it is today. The fish in the lake are in immaculate condition and there are some right crackers in there too. The food was homemade, fresh and delicious, 5 star standard. Each meal was beautifully presented followed by a great selection of desserts which my daughter couldn’t get enough of. The pods are fantastic, beds very comfortable and Elaine and Steve thought about every detail. Toilets and shower are to a hotel standard, I’ve never been to a lake with such a clean toilets and shower.
We could have stayed another week easily, even our teenage boy has enjoyed himself and my 7 year old daughter cried on the way home, so safe to say we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we will be booking again for sure 👌🏻
