Another great week fishing with over 40 fish out and it could of been even better for Ron as he lost a lot a lot of fish the first 36 hours before upping his hook size from a size 8.
All 4 anglers beat there previous personal bests during the week on there 3rd trip to foxpool. Sue in peg 2 was first out of the blocks with a 38lb mirror Ron had a 34lb fish then bagged another 6 thirties to 36.8lb before bagging two tone at 53lb and a dream come true. Young Ronnie in peg 4 started well and banked a brace of 37lb fish along with 3 more thirties and finished with 14 fish in total plus a few small ones that went into to stockpond to grow on. Debbie started in peg 3 and bagged a
30lb pb then landed the shamrock at 41lb before swapping to peg 2 with her mum where she bagged a few more commons and catfish. Sue backed her 38lb opening fish up with 5 more thirties 36.8lb 36lb( double take on Ronnie’s rod)and 2 at 34lb and 31lb common plus a few small catfish and she had 4 off the top from the stockpond. Over a dozen fish lost this week due to wrong hook choice and striking into fish like it was a 1000lb marlin but after heeding my advice things improved. A great week for a smashing family they’re back next year to do it all again.
