Fox Pool – 23 November, 2025

24 November, 2025

Sorry its been a while since I posted ,we closed mid October and re open on the 5th April so the fish will be well rested in time for the new season. We still have plenty of space for the next season available so if your looking for a exclusive week or individual anglers get in touch.
We have been busy working on the new lake with a contractor coming with big machinery to de silt it and dig it 2 feet deeper which has now been completed. It’s left a big mess over there carving up the banks with his tracks but when it dries out next year we start to tidy and landscape the banks. Im putting 200 fish over there from the stock pond to grow on over the next 2 years and hopefully we can open up as a drive and survive in 2028. There is a cabin on there and hopefully next year we can get electricity and water over there and ft out the cabin . It’s going to have a couple of bunk beds in there so family’s that want to come, but not bivvy up can sleep in the cabin if they prefer. Im going to put 3 pegs on there one in front of cabin and 2 opposite each other past the island.
We have some stunning fish to go in there from the stockpond with some cracking linears and fully scaled mirrors and nice commons that are mid doubles but will be over 30lb by the time we open up and ill buy some bigger fish aswell. Its just over 2 acres in size and now is 7ft plus at the dam end and 5ft at the cabin end.
Its haa cost a lot to have it dug out but it needed doing before we can get the licence on it and open for business. We will fence off between the 2 lakes to keep them separate entities. The new chad pool will be just drive and survive no food package or transfers or tackle hire like foxpool. Foxpool won’t be affected by the work on the new lake.
Foxpool slowed up towards the back end of the season and was frustrating at times as you could see fizzing and lots of fish showing but bites were hard to come by the last few weeks but some nice fish still saw the bank. We are feeding them up now over the winter with maize and pellet and they’ll be at the top weights by the time we open early April. I think angling pressure got to the fish late on as its been our busiest year and the fish didn’t get a break from early August til we closed and I think they started getting cautious of anglers bait and switched to naturals. I leave you with some pictures of the last few weeks ans the digout . Big thanks to all those who came last season and we look forward to seeing you again soon have a great xmas and all the bedt for the new year. Thanks Graham foxpool
