The lake continues to fish well as I predicted it would back end of the season after the heatwave diminished.
We had phil on all the way from Ireland driving over unfortunately his week was cut short as he had to leave Thursday due to work commitments in America sunday.
He dropped into peg 3 and broke his pb first night and went on to break it several times during the week bagging 4 fish over 40lb biggest a 56lb leather and 2 x38lb and several more 30s to 37lb plus his first ever grass carp taking 19 fish in total the 5 nights he did . He dropped a few aswell and lost a biggie he thought with a hook pull.
His sonar on his baitboat found a spot in the drop off that was hard snd polished and served him well. He used our nut brittle bollies with a bright dumbell fished over particle and pellet and had the bollie hopper that spreads the bait out .
Our last week sees sue and ron return for there 2nd trip of year last out in April hoping sue finally grass a forty after watching hubby ron land forties and a fifty on previos visits hopefully this time its her turn to beat her pb 38lb.
We have strong winds blowing this afternoon into peg 3 and had a bit of rain too.
We have froze the price for next year so £1800 for four exclusive with food and tackle hired or £550 individualy .not much left in may and September now .
Its been a tough year with the extreme heat in the summer making fishing slow in france a lot of lakes had to shut early due to lack of water and fish deaths.
We are buying some fish to stock in the new lake and a few lumps going into foxpool in January more on that later.
Not the best night pictures from phil on his self takes at night but I got a few of daytime forties .hopefully he wants to return in 2028.. cheers Graham foxpool
