The lake has had a lid of ice on it for the last week as the temperatures dropped to minus 8 . I was going to lime the deeper end of the lake but had to delay it for now.
We still have plenty of space left for this year and im hoping with all the feed going in we might get another fifty come through and a leather at that. our first 50lb leather that came out at 48lb last September. We have fed heavily over the winter doubling the maize and pellet going in so a lot ofvthose 38lb & 39lb fish will be fortys too hopefully this year. Less than 12 weeks now until thr new season kicks off. Still some prime weeks left including the 2nd week in April 11th also early may when they can be at there fullest jeff had a good hit mid may a few seasons ago with a load of big fish in a 20 fish haul .
