Well that’s it now for the first half of the season with our last group departing Friday morning. The fishing was a bit moody in the hot conditions but the 3 lads stuck at it and managed to bank a few malcolm in peg 3 banked 6 over 30lb biggest coming on the last night with a 39lb mirror to give him bragging rights over James in peg 4 who also managed a few over 30lb biggest being 35lb . Poor sandy had a bit of nightmare in peg 1 getting snapped off a few times he had a grassy at the net and it lunged cracking his line as the centre ceramic off his top eye was missing causing the break, I lent him a rod to continue with but I think he’d lost his mojo a bit after after losing another and wiping all his rods resulting in a pub chuck on his 2 rods on the last night which resulted in 27lb fish. The bigger fish didn’t make it on the bank this week but all 3 guys thought they lost a lump and malcolm got snapped off a big catfish Tuesday night. A couple of grass carp out of pegs 1 and 3 which was his first grassy for sandy .
