Hi the lake has been shut for the mid season break and e open again on Saturday after a 4 week shutdown. The lake fished well after we got spawning out of the way finally. The week prior to spawning we had our first foreign guests on and Bryan from Belgium bagged 15 fish upto 41lb and it was his first time carp fishing so beat his pb sevrral times. Paul in peg 1 only fished days but banked 13 fish upto 39lb including a lake record grass carp at 36lb and Steven in two didn’t do so well with 5 fish. Prior to that we had 3 lads from Peterborough on and all 3 broke there pbs with Chris bagging two tone at 57lb and a brace of forties landing 16bfishnin total from peg 4 and then swapping with Tony. Robbie in peg 2cstarted with the leather at 35lb and the had a 44lb mirror Asell as a avfew thirties to 39lb Tony had plenty of fish but never managed a forty but had plenty of big thirtys . Prior to that we had 4 Liverpool lads on one of which Ian had never fished before but under richies guidance he started with a few twentys and then pulled a new fifty pound mirror out at 53lb unbelievable the other lads got amongst them but there was to many fish lost but 3 of the 4 had new pbs to take home and vowed to return one day. Unfortunately the week before the fished started spawning on the Sunday to Wednesday and never really got on the bait . Andy managed a 44lb mirror on the first night but was a really slow week and 1 of the lads blanked in peg 4 unfortunately.
