The gates are open as the 2025 season kicked off , after the lads arrived a tad late we called on route to the lake at the supermarket and once we arrived the lads started setting up as I got dinner ready. The light was fading as they got the rods out and the first 24 hours they all drew a blank as of most french lakes its been a slow start. But as the lads walked up for breakfast,big Neil was grinning as he set the ball rolling in peg 3 vwith a 44lb mirror then a hour late Aaron had a 32lb mirror and just before breakfast Richard in peg 2 slipped the net under a 35lb mirror leaving just Ryan too get off the mark. The sun is shining and we had 22° all weekend which will warm the water up and get them feeding.All
3 lads caught on the island margins. Hopefully the 3 fish is a sign there getting on the bait after the long winer break.
