Etang Les Burons is a picturesque 5-acre lake that has been naturally stream-fed since 1938. Located in northern France within easy access of the ferry ports of St Malo, Caen and Le Havre.

The lake can be fished by up to 4 anglers and holds carp to over 50lbs with a good head of 30 and 40lb fish. There are a variety of features, including two scenic islands, an inlet stream, and a monk (a mechanism for controlling water levels). Nestled in the stunning French countryside, this serene setting provides the ideal backdrop for peaceful carp fishing while soaking in the tranquil atmosphere.

There are 5 swims, 4 of which have cabins which can comfortable to accommodate a bedchair which are designed to keep both you and your gear sheltered.

The lake depth ranges from 2-3 feet in the shallow areas, to 10-12 feet in the old riverbed that runs through the lake. The lake bed also offers diverse fishing spots, from silt to gravel and sandy patches. With the right rig setup, carp can be caught throughout the lake.

Swims

Etang Les Burons offers five swims: Tree Tops, The Monk, The Double, Gerry’s, and The Woods. Each swim is equipped with Wi-Fi, lights, power outlets (English sockets), and comfortable cabins, with the exception of Tree Tops, which will soon have electrical access as well.

Tree Tops: The first swim you’ll encounter, located across from the car park. It doesn’t cover much water but can be highly effective, especially when carp take shelter behind the island where they’re inaccessible from other swims. This swim includes a lean-to shelter for weather protection.

The Monk: Located on the main bank, this swim comes with lighting, English plug sockets, USB charging points, Wi-Fi, and a spacious deck to accommodate tables and chairs.

The Double: Ideal for two anglers, the larger cabin easily fits two bedchairs and plenty of fishing gear. The cabin features the same amenities as the other swims, with extra space for relaxing.

Jerry’s: Named after the resident goose on the nearby island, this swim offers all the usual comforts, including a deck for outdoor seating.

The Woods: Situated near a wooded area and close to the stream inlet, this swim provides a peaceful fishing experience with all standard amenities and an extended deck.

For convenience, the lake is located just 13 minutes from a supermarket and local eateries, including bars, kebab, and burger shops.

Bait boats, bedchairs as well as under the counter fridges for your cabin can be hired out. Please enquire for prices.

Boilies, pellets and particles are available to be purchased on site
