We arrived at chestnut pool for our 1st fishing trip in France, we were greeted by a beautiful setting with the perfect lodge and the bounce hot tub. Once settled in I headed down the he steps to the lake as stated around 1 acre in size. After getting out the leading rod and checking out the margins it was time to get the rods out selecting to fish the far margin with the rods well spread out. Between myself and sons we fished just the 3 rods alternating turns. We fished a boilie, pellets and particle mix roughly 40% boilies 30% pellet 30% particle. Spreading the bait by hand and deploying the rigs by bait boat. We fished evenings till early/mid morning get bites to a regular timing. Once packing up for the morning. We baited 3/4 scoops over each spot and rested the swim throughout the day.
We finished the week on 40carp and 1 catfish 4x30s to 37.2oz 21x20s and the catfish went 37.12ox
We had a great week, also visiting alligator bay and the local zoo.
