Fishing 14th – 21st March 2026.
It was a tough week fishing for us on Cheshire Lake. It seemed as if the Carp were just not active yet from the winter slumber, not helped by the depth of the water (depths between 14 – 18ft in open water). The weather was up and down during the week, experiencing hail, hot sunshine and sharp frosty mornings. The Sturgeon were active and gave quite a show during the early morning and evening, with both the Diamondbacks being banked during the week.
David the lake owner was very attentive, helpful and friendly. I genuinely felt his disappointment in the absence of us catching carp. The venue was clean with basic facilities and the only downside was the short drive to the shower block (located at the neighboring lake).
I would definitly recommend and look forward to going back again
