Cheshire lake is a 7 acre lake located just over 3 hours from Calais located south east of Paris and is home to some very large carp  including mirrors and commons to over 65lbs. The lake has 5 swims and is available for exclusive bookings for up to 5 anglers.

Darrel Peck fished the lake in October 2022 for a feature film for CarpFix TV. Click here to watch the highlights from Darrel’s trip.

It was also featured in the October 2021 Korda in Session video by the French Korda team. View the video in the video tab.

The lake is set acres of stunning countryside providing a peaceful and tranquil environment surrounded by an abundance or natural wildlife.

Cheshire lake is not a runs water, it is recommended for experienced anglers. The lake is rich in natural food, including cray fish which is why the carp have grown to such huge sizes. There are some also large beds of muscles, so strong tackle is essential.

In the summer of 2022 a number of the snags have been removed from the lake. These were previously large holding areas for the carp. The removal of the snags has resulted to the carp becoming a lot more catch-able.

5 swims have been cut out amongst the trees that surround the lake. The swims are spread evenly around the lake giving each angler lots of features to fish to. For added convenience, each of which can be accessed by car. There is no weed in the lake. There are some crayfish in the lake as well as fresh water muscles and snails.

There are between 100 to 120 carp in the lake with a good head of 40lbs plus fish and the average size as of 2022 is 40lbs. Mirrors go to over 65lbs and commons to 65lb plus.

In June 2022 the fish stock was supplemented with 2 sturgeon which are 90lbs each, a beluga sturgeon which is a massive 180lbs and a catfish which is 220lbs and 8 feet long and 30 mandarin catfish, the smallest of which is 50lbs.
