Etang la Planchette is a mature treelined 8 acre lake set in 20 acres of private countryside, located in the Lorraine region of north eastern France only 260 miles from Calais. There is a very good stock of big carp with at least 10 carp over 60lbs, a huge head of 50s and 40s and a massive average size of 37lbs. The stock consists of mirrors, commons and a few grass carp.
The lake is almost rectangular in shape with an island towards one end. There are 6 swims, one of which is a double (the island swim) and can be fished by up to 7 anglers at any one time. Swims are well positioned around the lake and have been purposefully created so that all can comfortably accommodate a bivvy and offer more than ample water coverage for a 3 rod set up.
The lake bed is mainly gravel and water is rich in natural food such as swan mussels, blood worm, snails and daphnia creating a perfect environment for big carp.
Catching some seriously large carp is no all Etang la Planchette has to offer though. As you sit back behind your rods or walk around the private grounds, there is an abundance of wild life to enjoy. Watch hawks and eagles circling overhead, as well as deers with their young in the meadows and even the occasional wild boar in the woodlands.

Food Package – 170 euro per week per angler. This includes a full english breakfast every day served at the lodge and a 2 course evening meal. A drive and survive option is also available.
