La Petite Coquais is the ideal venue for families, couples and small groups of anglers looking for that little bit more from a carping holiday. With full central heating La Petit Coquais are open all year round, including Christmas and New Year, so you can have luxury accommodation to go with some quality fishing.
There is a stunning barn conversion which can sleep up to six. It has 3 befrooms all with en-suites so no need to share a bathroom! There is an exclusive 3.2 acre carp lake as well as an outdoor swimming pool, lazy spa jacuzzi and fantastic outdoor bbq/ dining area with a fire pit. There are also plenty of non fishing activities on site such as boules / petanque, table tennis, pro table football, darts, Netflix, Xbox, OneS and Wii as well as various board and card games.
There is bouncy castle which can be rented for a daily fee. This is great fun for both children and adults!
Located in the Loire Valley, the lakes and accommodation are set in 16 acres of private woodlands and fields. La Petite Coquais easily accessible from several ferry ports. It is approximately one and half hours drive from St Malo, 2 and half hours from Caen, 3 and half hours from Le Havre and 5 and half hours from Calais.
The lake, called sheep field lake has carp to 40lbs which you will have the exclusive fishing rights to for the duration of your holiday.
The sheep field lake
Sheep field lake is 3.2 acres in size and only 60 yards from the accommodation. It is suited to 3 to 4 anglers and there are 6 to 7 swims spaced around the lake. It holds a good stock of mirror and commons from mid teens to over 50lbs. There are also grass carp up to 50lbs present. The owners have maintained a regular stocking programme since 2016 including 3 Siberian sturgeon which were introduced in 2017. There are also crucians and tench present which are excellent fun to catch on a float rod. Predator fish present are pike, zander and perch.
The lake bed mainly comprises of silt, with depths ranging from 4 to 11 feet.
Animal Visits for Children
At La Petite Coquais the little guests are just as important as our big ones. It is a working farm and under supervision children can meet and feed the resident lambs, rams, goats, chickens, cockerels, ducks and horses as well as collecting fresh eggs for your breakfast, great fun and a real treat for our little guests.

Within the local village of Renaze there are excellent amenities including; 2 supermarkets, a pharmacy, tobac, a DIY store that sells fishing tackle, 2 banks, 2 restaurants, pizza and kebab takeaway, cinema which shows English films and 3 hair and beauty salons.

Bait is available on site with house boilies in 3 flavours, Squid & Octopus ,Twisted Tuna and KS 1 which is fed as part of their main diet along with quality house pellet all year round. Maize ,Hemp particle mix is also available in buckets.
