Lac Bundy is an atmospheric 7.5-acre former quarry lake set within roughly 11 acres of peaceful French countryside, close to Connerré in north western France within the Pays de la Loire region. The venue offers a raw, natural fishing experience, ideal for anglers who enjoy reading the water and fishing a venue with real character rather than a heavily managed runs water.
The lake features six swims in total and can be comfortably fished by up to six anglers, making it suitable for both small groups and social bookings while still retaining plenty of space. The open banks and grass margins allow easy access to all areas of the lake, and depths vary across the water, reaching around 4 metres, with plenty of features to explore.
Opening for first time in April 2026 ,may years previously the lake was as fishery holding an existing stock of carp. The exact stock of the lake is not yet known, however it is reported (not yet confirmed) that in recent years carp have been caught in excess of 60lbs. During early July 2025 the new owner Mark visited and fished for 4 days and caught 12 fish weighing up to 37.4lb and in October a further 5 days fishing resulted in 20 carp weighing up to 35.2lb.
Lac Bundy is located approximately 4½ to 5 hours from Calais and just 25 minutes from Le Mans, making it a practical destination for travelling anglers while still feeling pleasantly remote.
