Map

Etang des Landes is a mature 5 acre lake with accommodation located in the Pays de la Loir valley of France which can be hired exclusively for up to 5 anglers. This beautiful lake is set in private grounds and surrounded by ancient woodland.

The accommodation is just a stones throw from the lake and there is also a 4.3m plunge pool to cool off in during the warmer months making it ideal for a family holiday. Click on the facilities tab for information and photos of the accommodation and pool.

There are approximately 120 carp. Weights range from mid 30s to upper 40s with several fish now over the 50lb barrier. There are nice scaled mirror carp and some stunning commons that anglers have regularly said are very ‘English looking’.

There are 5 swims, 3 double and 2 singles which are well spread out around the lake ensuring each swim has ample water coverage. Around the lake there are 3 parking spaces making it easier to get your fishing tackle to your chosen swim.

The lake is spring fed and the lake bed is made up of clay and silt. The natural flow of water from the spring helps create optimum water quality as it is constantly renewed and has naturally high oxygen levels creating perfect conditions for fish growth. Depths range from around 3 feet in the shallowest areas to 12 feet at the deepest.

In the middle of the lake is stone walled island with a stunning red maple tree growing from the centre. At one end of the lake is a beautiful 18th century boathouse.

A sustained lake management programme has been applied to make the fishery what it is today. This has included draining the lake every few years to remove nuisance and unwanted fish and introducing a precise feeding programme which has resulted in constant weight gains.

Bookings are Saturday to Saturday
