Etang de la Vilotte is a 5 acre stream fed lake located in south west France, close to Limoges. The lake contains around 150 carp to over 50lbs with a good head of 30 and 40lbs carp.
The lake can be fished by a maximum of 5 anglers. Drive and survive or fly and fish packages with tackle hire are available. If you are flying, collection from Limoges airport is included in the cost of the tackle hire.
Etang de la Vilotte was acquired by the current owners in 2022 but the lake can be dated back to over 200 years. It is set in private woodland and surrounded by mature trees and shrubs which are home to an abundance of wildlife.
There are six swims which each offer plenty of water coverage for a 3 rod set up. Four of the swims are on the lodge side of the lake and two on the opposite side. The lake bed is made up of clay and gravel with depths ranging from 2ft in the bay to 10ft at the dam wall.

Bookings are Saturday to Saturday with arrival time no earlier than 2pm and departure 10am.
Dogs are not permitted
All anglers will be supplied with slings, cradles and nets free of charge.
If you are flying a 3 rod set up can be hired. All you will need to bring is reels, alarms, terminal tackle, carp care kit, head torch and sleeping bag. If you hire tackle, collection from Limoges airport is included in the price.
Bait is available at the lake on request along with pellet and particle.
A breakfast baguette and hot evening meal is available for an additional charge
Handle fish with care, keep them wet and use a carp care kit.
No lead core but a leader of some kind must be used and it must be a minimum of 18 inches. No fixed leads.
No sacking of fish.
Only use the landing nets, weigh slings and cradles provided.
When weighing fish, place the tripod over the top off the cradles provided, do not carry the fish in the slings to the tripods.
Maximum 3 rods per angler.
No unattended rods.
No nuts, artificial bait and no maize.
Barbless hooks only.
No surface fishing.
Swims to be kept free of rubbish.
Drug and alcohol abuse will not be tolerated.
