Map

Etang de Cherpont is a mature 39 acre stream fed lake, with a good head of carp in excess of 50lbs set in 65 acres of rolling countryside in Limousin region in Central Massif France. The lake can be dated back to the 19th century and is surrounded by mature trees, shrubs and reeds. Situated far from the nearest roads, you won’t hear a sound other than from the abundance of wild life and screaming bite alarms!

A maximum of 15 anglers can fish the Cherpont lake at anyone time and there are 21 swims to choose from meaning each angler has a huge amount of water coverage as well as plenty of opportunity to move around the lake.

The current average weight is between to 30 to 40lb bracket and there are around 20 fish in excess of 50lbs so a really good chance of getting a new PB.

The lake is accessible all the way around and to make life a bit easier the furthest swims on the lake can be accessed by car to drop your kit off.

Bait boats are permitted
